About the Role
This manufacturing position is responsible for operating welding equipment and working with aluminum, steel, and galvanneal materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring trucks from front to rear lights, camera sensors, and custom requests
- Welding metals according to customer or employer requirements
- Installing lift gates, walk ramps, and platforms
- Maintaining high safety standards while working
- Operating heavy equipment such as industrial saws
- Inspecting equipment after welding and reporting defects to maintenance
- Planning and setting up welding operations
- Reading blueprints and welding according to plan
- Training junior and entry-level welders
Requirements
- Pass a weld test
- Proficiency in three or more of the following welding materials: mild steel, galvineel, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
- At least 6 years of welding experience
- Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills
- Basic experience with hand tools
- Able to understand and comprehend measurements
- Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications
- Must be at least 18 years old
