IT Project Coordinator

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to join our IT Programs & Strategy team to help drive the planning, organization, and execution of key initiatives across multiple business areas. This role will support independent projects with significant scope and visibility, working closely with project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams. This is an in-office position, preferably in Orlando.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the IT Programs & Strategy team (aka PMO), you’ll play a central role in ensuring projects stay on track and meet expectations. You’ll work closely with project managers, cross-functional teams, and business partners to help streamline execution, resolve blockers, and support reporting.
- Apply project management methodologies and tools in coordinating and monitoring IT project activities, schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Assist project managers in developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, priorities, and timelines.
- Track project progress and prepare regular status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and escalate project risks and issues; support resolution efforts to minimize impact on timelines and outcomes.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, project schedules, and status updates.
Qualifications
- 2 plus years of experience in project coordination or project (preferably in IT)
- Familiarity with project management methods (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, or MS Project)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a natural ability to bring structure to chaos.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working with both technical and business teams
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting IT initiatives or enterprise programs
- Interest in certifications like CAPM, PMP, or Agile
- Understanding of IT delivery or business process workflows
