Overview:
Under the direction of the Head of Package Development, the Package Development Engineer will support all package components development in terms of design, analysis, and Industrialization.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop product packaging including secondary and tertiary according to Moroccanoil’s standards and protocols.
- Create and maintain all package BOMs.
- Create and maintain primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging specifications.
- Create and maintain finish goods (fill and assembly) specifications including pallet patterns.
- Understand supplier manufacturing processes, and filling plant operations and logistics.
- Understand CAD drawings and component blueprints (2D and 3D/SolidWorks).
- Coordinate and participate in line trials and production startup.
- Assist with package approval and validation, including coordination of samples and ship tests as needed.
- Conduct value analysis and cost reduction activities as needed.
- Work closely with and provide guidance to operation teams, vendors and plants on manufacturing and industrialization.
- Manage multiple dates to meet established timelines.
- Ad hoc projects.
Skills & Abilities:
- BS in Package Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical degree.
- 2-3 years of relevant packaging experience, ideally in cosmetics and/or personal care.
- Strong PC, MS Office, and basic CAD software.
- MS Project experience is a plus.

- Lifting Requirement: Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed.
