Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Conduct engaging dance classes that encourage participation and skill development among students.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance.
- Collaborate with other instructors to organize performances, showcases, or recitals that highlight student progress.
- Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding class expectations and student development.
- Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques to enhance the quality of instruction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dance instruction, with a strong understanding of various dance styles.
- Experience working with students of different ages, including children and adults.
- Background in curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is a plus, especially for instructors working with younger students.
- Experience in related fields such as culinary arts or theater can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
