What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Morrill County Community Hospital?
- Respond to CFO/CEO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
- Recommends to management, major strategies, objectives, and policies for the facility.
- Ensure cash collected reconciles with bank deposits.
- Monitor cash balances and perform bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile accounts monthly to include general ledger accounts.
- Participates in the gathering and analyzing of information for Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting, and annual financial audits.
- Assists with tracking capital assets and lease liabilities.
- Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Perform quality work within deadlines without supervision, be detail-oriented, and able to perform with a high level of accuracy.
- Establish working relationships with registration, coding, and billing departments to ensure revenue cycle workflows are optimized.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
