What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Manager position at Morris County Hospital?
Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager supervises the daily operations and work activities of the Medical Surgical Nursing Unit, OB, Outpatient services, Swing Bed and ER programs. Implements and interprets policies, procedures, standards and regulations to personnel, patients, and medical staff. Supervises functions to ensure that effective nursing services are provided and quality standards are met. Maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement in performance. Helps to promote the services offered by the hospital and may travel to other facilities to establish and maintain relationships with partner facilties. This is a Monday through Friday, 40 hour/week position.
