At Morris County Prevention is Key, we believe in the transformative power of substance use recovery. We are looking for an experienced manager in the recovery services field to build our programs and services in three locations in Northern New Jersey. The Recovery Community Centers Manager must have a working knowledge of SAMHSA’s Four Dimensions that Support a Life in Recovery as well as that of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a demonstrated commitment to the recovery community. The Recovery Community Centers Manager must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily operations of three recovery community centers in Morris, Essex and Passaic Counties; ensuring a recovery-focused tone and culture.
- Provide individual (one-on-one) support, system navigation for recoverees and their families, provide resources, referrals, answer phone calls and handle requests for assistance. Up to 25% of time may be dedicated to one-on-one assistance.
- Oversees the provision of peer recovery support services development, coordination, implementation and management at local level.
- Ensures that Telephone Recovery Support program operates efficiently in their recovery community centers.
- Builds the local recovery support service network through personal meetings, presentations, council/committee/Board membership, speaking engagements and other promotional/networking activities.
- Recruits volunteers; promotes recovery support services in their local community. Schedules and implements recovery trainings and events in accordance with established requirements.
- Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of PIK, including representing PIK in professional organizations and in the community.
- Support fundraising efforts of PIK, annual events and activities that support PIK.
- Maintains data, writes reports and keeps pertinent and accurate records.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of successful and progressive experience in service/program delivery with a nonprofit organization.
- Minimum of two years in a supervisory/management capacity.
- Experience in outreach, networking, promotion and training.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Knowledge about addiction recovery.
- Cross-cultural skills, and experience with culturally diverse populations.

- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquires or complaints and maintain confidentiality.
