Purpose :
The Showroom Visual Merchandiser is responsible for displaying merchandise and accessories on showroom floors according to the merchandise plan using Morris Furniture Company visual standards.
General Description of Duties :
- Partner with Merchandising Department and Showroom / Store Designer to lead the flow of furniture and placement of accessory product to the sales floor.
- Partner with General Manager to coordinate and direct the operations and delivery staff in the movement and replacement of product on showroom floor.
- Direct product placement of furniture and execute appropriate accessories to highlight the style and categorization of furniture displays.
- Originate, implement, and replenish display ideas for everyday accessories when needed.
- Complete annual physical inventory of all accessory product on assigned showroom floors and ensure all products are accurately entered into inventory records and updated on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for receiving, unpacking, and assembly of new accessory products for assigned showrooms.
- Create and attach price and item tags to all appropriate accessory products.
- Monitor quality of showroom goods and correct or initiate replacement with GM of substandard floor samples.
- Direct and participate in showroom display moves as needed.
