DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Under the general instruction of the Facilities Manager, this position supervises the activity of assigned personnel and service contractors. A person who performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the facility complex to assist the tradesmen and other workmen in completing their tasks. Repairs and maintains machinery and other mechanical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional/Educational-
Three or more years of previous Facilities Maintenance experience.

Knowledgeable in electrical and electrical safety.

Must possess technical skill and knowledge to perform duties.

Must be able to follow direction, both verbal and written, and work cooperatively with other staff members.

Must possess multiple mechanical repair abilities.

Valid Illinois Drivers License.

Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised.

Good written and communication skills.
