Your purpose:
To assist Sales, Customer Service and Manufacturing in item setup and maintenance of specification standards. This position is responsible for helping to maintain specification standards, assisting with new product setup and development, cross-checking information to ensure it meets current standards and other work required to exceed our customers’ requirements for packaging

Essential Functions:
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Technical departments to maintain specification systems and other “tools” to assist the production of the highest quality product.
- Assist in activities to accomplish tasks using available internal and external resources.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics AX to create items and Bills of Material to produce those items.
- Foster a positive work environment through open and effective communications and an atmosphere of teamwork.

Work Environment:
While performing this job's duties, the employee will be mainly in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Position may require occasional visits to plant floor that is subject to vibration, equipment noise leading to a loud environment and cleaning solvents.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, sit for extended periods of time, and lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, fingers, with the ability to feel and reach with hands and arms will also be required.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) working at a computer terminal.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) talking and repetitive motion, hand/wrist movement.
- Frequent (1 to 3 hours per day) standing and walking.
- Good eyesight, normal hearing.
- Ability to move and lift objects, up to 40 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Typically works standard business days and hours. Flexible to attend meetings or important functions that may occur during off hours and weekends to meet organizational initiatives.
Travel:
Position may occasionally travel to customers or other venues to support business activities.
Required Education and Experience:
- Ability to read and write English.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 3 or more years of administrative and/or data entry experience.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Understanding of manufacturing process and control systems a plus.
- Packaging industry experience a plus.
- Intermediate skill in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, Outlook).
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective communication skills via email, phone and in person.
- Diligent follow through
