Job Overview: We are looking for an organized and proactive HR Operations Generalist to join our team and support the day-to-day execution of key HR processes. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee communication, and general HR operations. You will ensure that all HR-related activities run efficiently, provide administrative support for various HR functions, and help maintain a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding Support:
- Assist in managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees, including documentation, system setups, and onboarding communications.
- Ensure all new hire information is entered correctly into the HRIS and assist with setting up new hires in the system.
- Send onboarding emails and coordinate logistics for new employee orientations and trainings.
Benefits Administration:
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, updates, and audits.
- Assist in the annual benefits enrollment process and provide support to employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Help track benefits eligibility and assist in reporting for ACA compliance.
Employee Communications:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and general HR processes.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, such as organizing birthday celebrations, gift cards, and other employee recognition programs.
- Draft and send HR-related communications to employees regarding policy changes, benefits updates, and company events.
Compliance and Recordkeeping:
- Assist with ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws, including SUI, SIT, PFL registrations, and workers’ compensation.
- Help manage employee records and ensure that all documentation is maintained and compliant with legal requirements.
- Support in preparation for state filings, audits, and regulatory reporting.
Offboarding Process:
- Assist with the offboarding process, including preparing exit paperwork and coordinating return of company property.
- Maintain accurate records for all offboarded employees and ensure the proper completion of exit interviews and documentation.
Administrative Support:
- Manage and maintain HR files, records, and databases to ensure that all employee information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support the HR team with policy creation, implementation, and communication.
- Help with audits of HR systems and processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
Additional HR Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining HR-related documentation.
- Assist in coordinating company-wide events, such as employee appreciation programs, and help manage related logistics.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and familiarity with state and federal labor laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (e.g., ADP, Workday) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or in progress).
- Experience with benefits administration and ACA compliance.
- Familiarity with state-specific employment laws and regulations.

Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
