We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) upgrades and implementations to support a large client LIS upgrade project in the Great Lakes area. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of project management experience, expertise in ServiceNow Project Management software, and hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex healthcare IT projects, ensuring timely execution, budget adherence, and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Clinisys/Sunquest LIS upgrade and implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Utilize ServiceNow Project Management software for project tracking, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, IT, and administrative staff, to define project requirements and milestones.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, providing regular status updates and addressing project roadblocks.
- Monitor project performance using ServiceNow KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of LIS and voice recognition systems.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring transparency and adherence to client practices in project management.
- Drive process improvements and ensure the adoption of industry best practices in healthcare IT project management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, specifically in EMR upgrades and implementations. Software Expertise: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Project Management
- software is required.
- Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, EMR platforms, and regulatory compliance.
- Project Management Skills: Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies. Communication & Leadership: Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, facilitate discussions, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to handle challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure project success in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing projects within large hospital systems or healthcare networks.
- Familiarity with Epic, Oracle Health, or other major EMR platforms.
