We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) upgrades and implementations to support a large client LIS upgrade project in the Great Lakes area. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of project management experience, expertise in ServiceNow Project Management software, and hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex healthcare IT projects, ensuring timely execution, budget adherence, and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage Clinisys / Sunquest LIS upgrade and implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Utilize ServiceNow Project Management software for project tracking, reporting, and workflow optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, IT, and administrative staff, to define project requirements and milestones.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings, providing regular status updates and addressing project roadblocks.
Monitor project performance using ServiceNow KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of LIS and voice recognition systems.
Manage project documentation, ensuring transparency and adherence to client practices in project management.
Drive process improvements and ensure the adoption of industry best practices in healthcare IT project management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience :
Minimum 5 years of project management experience, specifically in EMR upgrades and implementations. Software Expertise : Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Project Management
software is required.
Certification : PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, EMR platforms, and regulatory compliance.
Project Management Skills : Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies. Communication & Leadership : Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, facilitate discussions, and lead cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving : Demonstrated ability to handle challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure project success in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience managing projects within large hospital systems or healthcare networks.
Familiarity with Epic, Oracle Health, or other major EMR platforms.
Experience with budget management and resource allocation in healthcare IT projects
