Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. This role involves working closely with patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic illnesses, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their stay.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Perform IV infusion therapy and airway management as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare team members.
- Engage in travel nursing opportunities as required by the facility’s needs.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred; familiarity with senior care is a plus.
- Proficiency in medical records management and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of mammography procedures is advantageous but not required.
- Strong skills in toddler care may be beneficial for family-centered care environments.
- Previous experience in Med/Surg unit is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
