Job Summary
As a Nutrition Lab Technician for Morrison Healthcare at Mayo Clinic, you will be working on a team that prepares formula and breast milk for neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adult populations. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and are detail oriented. Pay: starts at $23.25/hour based on experience, eligible for overtime pay
- Full Time (30-40 hours/week)
- 8 hour and 10 hour shifts available
- Hours are variable from 6:45 am to 6:30 pm
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
Prior education and/or experience is preferred but not required.
- Customer service skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to complete tasks with focus on detail and organization
- Time management and multitasking in daily work
- Comfort with learning new technology and computer system
- Fast paced work environment with high levels of activity
- Collaborate with nurses, registered dietitians, and other care team members regarding breast milk and formula orders
- Prepare breast milk and formula accurately using established recipes and sanitation procedures
- Calculate breast milk recipes based on desired volume
- Navigate computer software to print labels and patient lists
- Identify and label formula and breast milk
- Deliver prepared feedings throughout the hospital
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces
- Receive formula and breast milk products and monitor inventory levels and expiration dates
