Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of property maintenance, and the ability to manage administrative tasks effectively. The Property Manager will ensure that properties are well-maintained and that tenant needs are met promptly, while also adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
Duties
- Manage tenant relations, addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
- Oversee property maintenance activities, coordinating repairs and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
- Maintain accurate administrative records, including tenant files, lease agreements, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to property management and tenant rights.
- Utilize Appfolio software for tracking maintenance requests and scheduling repairs, along with all other record keeping.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition and identify areas for improvement.
- Properly handle apartment showings and leasing of units.
- Implement effective phone etiquette when communicating with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in administrative tasks including filing, record keeping, and report generation.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Understanding of relevant laws governing property management practices.
