What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Clerk- Traffic/Criminal position at Morrow County Municipal Court?
The Morrow County Municipal Court is hiring a full-time Deputy Clerk- Traffic/Criminal. The Deputy Clerk is responsible for providing general administrative assistance to the Judge, while directly serving the public and Court users. Duties will include, but are not limited to, inputting appropriate information for traffic, parking, criminal citations, complaints, etc. into the computer; preparing case files for Court; collecting and processing of fees, fines, and other payments; preparing bench warrants and inputting all warrant information; processing expungements, work releases, and license forfeitures; preparing commitment papers; and, opening and distributing mail including date and time stamping for receipting. The Deputy Clerk must provide exceptional customer service and record keeping services to persons conducting business with the Court, in addition to exhibiting outstanding inter-personal skills by communicating effectively, courteously, and efficiently with others. The ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast-paced environment is a must. The starting salary for this position is contingent upon experience. The applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent degree; a paralegal degree or legal experience is preferred.
