GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
The Engineering Assistant will manage, organize and update relevant engineering data using database applications to maintain accurate and readily available records.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The fundamental duties of this job include the following, but are not limited to:
- Scans drawings and technical data to place into electronic files.
- Performs data entry of tower cranes and construction hoist configurations into database.
- Assists Project Managers and Engineers to create sketches/drawings for tower crane and hoist applications.
- Provides tower crane reaction forces as requested.
- Updates the Morrow Field Repair Guideline Manual under the guidance of Engineers, Project Managers, or Engineering Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

TECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Associate degree in engineering or 4 years of experience as an engineering aide.
- Strong knowledge and use of computer software, including MS Office, FileMaker, Acrobat, Internet and email.
- Experience in the use of design software such as Micro Station, AutoCAD, MathCAD and FileMaker highly preferred.
- Knowledge of project management software to assist Engineers and Project Managers to manage production of drawings and to meet customer deadlines highly preferred.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED:
Average hours per week: 40 (normal work schedule).
Shift: Day shift only.
