Morrow Hill is seeking a highly motivated and studious Junior or Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role will provide vital support to the organization to help streamline the company's accounting processes and keep our office running smoothly.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong organizational skills, be able to multi-task and handle all the various duties for full-cycle accounting, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries and account reconciliations. This is not a remote position. All duties must be performed at our corporate location.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to our customers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of transactional accounting and general bookkeeping.
- Ability to prepare customer invoices accurately.
- Daily and timely posting of accounts receivable payments.
- Maintain and balance accounts receivable ledger accounts.
- Deductive logic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills (Required).
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines (Required).
Qualifications
- A minimum of an associate degree in accounting, finance or related field (Required)
- 2 years of demonstrated ability to provide detailed level accounting support (A/P, A/R and month-end close).
- 2 years of transactional accounting experience in a professional organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop/Online (Required).
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and analytical skills (Required).
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing (Required).
- Willingness to follow established policies and procedures consistently and accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Real estate experience is a plus but not required.
