What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate CAD Drafter position at Morrow Management?
Morrow Management is looking for a motivated individual with beginning to intermediate 2D AutoCAD drafting experience. This role will be responsible for developing CAD Designs at the direction of the CAD Manager and Project Management teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops 2D AutoCAD drawings for new and existing projects
- Designs work order exhibits
- Converts external design linework to Morrow Management linework files
- Maintains company-specific drawing standards and guidelines
- Analyzes, researches, and prepares site-specific drawings/plans
- Incorporates utility maps & substructures on drawings
- Draws maps using the correct mapping symbols, call-outs, decals, proper tie-downs, etc.
- Organizes and maintains all project drawings
- Completes Project Manager’s redlines and plan revisions
- Modifies and revises drawings as necessary to correct deficiencies
- Collaborates with the design group to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final designs
- Generates point of connection exhibits
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD) software functions
- Ability to read engineering and architectural plans - Preferred
- General software experience (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth, etc.)
- Knowledge/experience in XREF Base File Management- Preferred
Working Conditions
- Office hours are Monday-Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-12:00pm
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and walk short distances within the office
- Remote work is not offered
