Front Desk Administrative Assistant at Opioid Treatment Program
Description
Days/Hours needed are: Monday and Wednesday 5:15am-1:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 6:30am-9:30am
Summary: Checking in patients, collection of money, filing, phone screenings and secretarial duties. Any employee in this classification interacts with patients, visitors and staff and must have positive people skills by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greeting and checking in patients as they arrive.*
Confidentiality/HIPAA/42 CFR Extra awareness while speaking with patients at front desk and while on phone with other patients around.
Directs patients for medications, toxicology screening, doctor visits and counseling appointments.*
Collects fees and prints receipts. Enters payments, post individual accounts daily to the computer general ledger.*
Answers telephone, takes messages as appropriate.*
Screens and schedules intake appointments.*
Maintains a cooperative and positive attitude and approach to patients, staff and visitors.*
Maintains visitor check in book.
Performs other duties at the request of the Program Director*
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
