SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance RN is accountable for evaluating and improving the quality of health care solutions being provided to seniors enrolled in both the Homecare and Hospice programs through MorseLife.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Implementing quality training, education, and compliance activities as directed.
- Make recommendations based on findings provided by data collected and collaborate with Medical Directors and Site Directors for approval to improve outcomes.
- Facilitating positive outcomes by applying knowledge and best practices gained through previous quality/process improvement experience.
- Working closely with organizational and operational leaders to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and objectives for the advancement of our communities.
- Leads and presents clinical education series quarterly to ensure compliance with state regulations and center policies and procedures. Additional Duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise staff to ensure that all are compliant for QAPI purposes as well as State Regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
- An associate degree in the related field is required, along with 3 years of quality/process improvement experience that includes staff and operational management responsibilities. QAPI experience required.
- Training and/or compliance experience will be a plus, as will previous work in the healthcare industry. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- One year of experience working with a homecare or hospice services is required
- Able to interpret State and Federal requirements as they apply to the program. Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance
- LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
