Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior or Principal Process Engineer with a background in Chemical Engineering to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry, ideally with this as their most recent professional experience. The role requires on-site presence in Aiken, SC or Savannah, SC for 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes within nuclear facilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Perform detailed process simulations, risk assessments, and safety evaluations.
- Develop process documentation, including flow diagrams, P&IDs, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Oversee implementation and troubleshooting of processes during construction, testing, and operational phases.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with preference for candidates whose most recent experience is in this field.
- Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and nuclear regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Availability to be on-site in Aiken, SC or Savannah, SC for 2-3 days per week.
