Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who can engage with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, enthusiastic, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide overall leadership direction to a project, including management of project quality, timeliness, and safety, as well as mentoring the project team. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliers;
- Developing and maintaining project financial projections and equipment projections;
- Determining and allocating project estimates into the financial system;
- Identifying cost codes, approving invoices, and making necessary budget management decisions;
- Providing financial and billing information to Accounting for timely payment;
- Creating monthly owner billings;
- Maintaining budget for and selecting trade partners and suppliers;
- Handling billings and contract management, including contract buyouts;
Additionally, the Project Manager will lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, providing job assignments and managing career development, approving time cards, and providing ongoing feedback on work performance.
Key Qualifications
- Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects;
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks;
- Possess a basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices;
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level;
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies;
- Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback;
- Ability to travel overnight up to 100%;

- Minimum seven years of construction management or related experience with large projects ($20M );
- Current driver's license;
