Responsibilities

Provide financial insight and guidance to inform key business decisions.

Financial Planning & Analysis :
Develop and oversee financial budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
Analyze financial results and trends, providing actionable recommendations.
Ensure alignment of financial plans with organizational objectives.
Accounting & Reporting :
Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Manage internal and external audits.
Maintain robust internal controls and safeguard company assets.
Capital Management :
Optimize capital structure and manage the company’s financing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
Assess investment opportunities and risks, ensuring prudent capital allocation.
Compliance & Risk Management :
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance standards.
Develop and implement policies to manage financial risks effectively.
Team Leadership :
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Build the capabilities of the finance team to meet evolving business needs.
Drive initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top financial talent.
Operational Support :
Partner with operational leaders to enhance financial discipline across departments.
Implement systems and processes to improve financial data quality and accessibility.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or MBA preferred.
10 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leader, preferably in the mortgage or financial services sector.
Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial risk management.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
