What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brokerage Licensing Specialist position at Mortgage JV?
The Brokerage Licensing Specialist is responsible for supporting the department in meeting its regulatory licensing, reporting and compliance obligations by assisting with the preparation and timely submission of statutory reports, maintaining the department’s records, and conducting municipal level regulations research as required.
The position requires the ability to organize, coordinate and interact with the local and remote Licensing Teams to timely and effectively complete multiple regulatory activities in a deadline driven environment, which involves a high level of planning and organizational skills.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the fulfillment of required U.S. regulatory licensing and reporting.
- Responsible for required form drafting, obtaining signatures/notarizations, preparation of regulatory correspondence and scheduling. Requires extensive knowledge of reconciliation, formatting, cross checking and auditing of information using MS Office Suite.
- Supports the licensing and reporting processes in connection with company branches.
- Responsible for maintenance of electronic and physical records of all related licensing and reporting information as well as maintenance of department’s internal control matrices and logs.
- Responsible for preparation and distribution of external and internal communications and correspondence as it relates to licensing and reporting matters.
- Communication and follow up with the various company departments to obtain the necessary information for completion of required applications and reports.
- Responsible for payment processing of invoices and fees related to regulatory licensing and department vendors.
- Assists the Licensing Team by gathering information necessary for completion of application packages for required licenses and authority to do business in different jurisdictions.
- Supports the reporting of requirements and material changes to the Regulators, including drafting forms, fingerprinting process (Criminal Background Checks), etc. and assists with logging status of the project.
- Assists in gathering and preparing materials presented for regulatory examinations both on-site and off-site.
- Provides support to compliance department on matters related to mortgage regulatory compliance, required consumer disclosures and due diligence document compilation. Other duties and regulatory projects as assigned.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
