Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of production staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing principles, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a production team of 100 employees, ensuring efficiency and high performance.
- Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of goods and optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock to meet production needs while minimizing waste.
- Maintain and improve certifications, including Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Kosher, and SQF.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other workplace safety requirements.
- Monitor KPIs to drive production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Generate reports to track production performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with QMS (Quality Management Systems), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and NetSuite ERP to streamline operations.
- Oversee machine and facility schedules and upkeep to minimize downtime and optimize performance while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of capital assets for financial accounting, ensuring proper creation and disposal as needed.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team and external vendors to schedule preventive maintenance, address equipment or facility issues, and ensure proper asset management.
- Use NetSuite to create, track, and manage work orders, ensuring that production activities align with planned schedules.
- Ensure accurate data entry for production activities, work orders, and inventory transactions.
- Use NetSuite to monitor and manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and identify potential shortages or surpluses.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (quality, sales, finance, supply chain, senior management, among others) to ensure seamless data flow and drive operational efficiency through strong communication and teamwork.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements, and quality management.
- Experience with OSHA compliance, SQF, and other industry certifications.
- Ability to manage large teams and implement process improvements.
- Familiarity with QMS, MRP, and ERP (NetSuite preferred).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and statistical process control.
- Spanish language skills are preferred
