Job Title: Event Sales/Coordinator

Reports to: Event Sales Director

Location: Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course

Rate of Pay: $26.00 hr. Quarterly Discretionary Incentives

FLSA Status: hourly, non-exempt, full-time

Position Overview

Morton Golf is looking for an experienced Event Sales/Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating event management, from initial client consultations and contract negotiation to the meticulous organization of all event details, including meetings, presentations, banquets, and weddings. The Event Sales/Coordinator will proactively generate, identify, and secure sales opportunities to drive revenue growth. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong sales acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract and retain clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts to clients, ensuring all details are accurate and tailored to their needs.
  • Conduct site visits with potential clients, showcasing our facilities and catering options to highlight the unique advantages of our venue.
  • Negotiate pricing, assist with menu selection, and finalize contracts.
  • Fuel event sales growth by actively prospecting new clients and cultivating strong relationships with organizations, partners, and corporate contacts.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client communications in the Customer Relations Management (CRM) system.
  • Other duties assigned by the Event Sales Director.


Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality, catering, or events industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of sales techniques and principles.
  • Proven track record in sales preferred.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relations Management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by client meetings and events.
  • Excellent communication skills at all company levels.
  • Adept at problem-solving, organizing, multitasking, and prioritizing.
