Job Description Summary



The Manager, Information Technology, Carelon Health Advanced Primary Care manages the IT infrastructure, systems, and team to ensure the organization’s technology needs are met efficiently and securely. This role involves strategic planning, project management, cybersecurity oversight, and team leadership to support business operations and innovation. The IT Manager collaborates with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with company goals while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • IT Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and strategic plans to support business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for technological advancements and process improvements.
  • Infrastructure & System Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance, security, and reliability of IT systems, networks, and cloud-based services.
    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
    • Manage software applications, databases, and enterprise systems to optimize performance.
    • Lead a team of technical support specialists in the field to provide support to the clinic infrastructure management nationwide.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance:
    • Adhere to, review, and have strong understanding of cybersecurity policies to facilitate monitoring and protect company data and systems.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and IT security standards.
    • Provide necessary information to support regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing.
  • Project Management & Implementation:
    • Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, software deployments, and infrastructure enhancements.
    • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Support:
    • Supervise and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
    • Establish and maintain IT support processes, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
    • Foster collaboration between IT and other departments to address business needs.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing resource allocation.
    • Evaluate and recommend cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging server technologies, security threats, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in IT management, infrastructure administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience with enterprise software, ERP systems, and database management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and IT project execution.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNA, AWS, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.

Compensation Range: $149,000 - $165,000
