Summary:
As an IT Support Staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our organization's information technology systems. You will assist in troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining hardware and software, and providing general IT support to staff members. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and software applications, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Set up user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access controls and security measures.
- Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Train and educate staff members on basic computer operations and software applications.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend potential improvements to enhance IT systems and processes.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualification:
- An Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in providing IT support and troubleshooting in a professional environment.
- Professional certifications (such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional, etc.) are a plus.
- Familiarity with common hardware components, printers, and peripherals.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android), productivity applications (Microsoft Office), and popular software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Mandarin is preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
