Estimator Position Summary

This unique position will leverage your knowledge of the commercial roofing industry. You will go onsite for each project to assess the roof and gather the data you need to build an accurate estimate. Your expertise will ensure our clients receive competitive and well-informed proposals for their roofing needs. This Estimator role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of time at your desk and onsite.

About our Estimator position

• Join a collaborative estimating team where you can ask questions and share knowledge
• Take the lead on determining the "How" and "How much" for our customers after the customer has been prequalified and requested a quote
• Inspect the roof to uncover the "How” - determine the best product/services, decide on the equipment and materials necessary, take measurements
• Utilize Edge Estimating Software to determine the “How Much?”
• Read blueprints to understand the scope of the job
• Contact vendors to get pricing and negotiate for the best possible price/terms
• Create estimates for commercial roof replacement, maintenance, and repairs
• Collaborate with the sales and operational teams to make sure the estimate is accurate and will result in a profitable job
• Review completed projects for profitability and learn how to build better estimates in the future
• Receive ongoing mentorship and training for personal and professional development to help you

Our Ideal Estimator

• Experience: 3 years of commercial roofing experience and 1 year of estimating experience is required.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and industry practices.
• Active: Enjoys a mix of office and job site time. Able to climb a ladder, take measurements, inspect flat and low slope roofs
• Accurate: Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
• Collaborative: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Tech-savvy: Proficiency in using roofing estimation software and tools. We provide on-the-job training with Edge Estimating Software.
• Effective: Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Integrity: Humble enough to admit mistakes. Driven to do a great job. Skilled at relating to people. Will take ownership of work.

• $70-$90k . Depending on Experience
