Summary
This Property Accountant position is primarily responsible for compilation and maintenance of managed property financial data. The Property Accountant ensures that the properties’ financial statements are completed timely and accurately. This includes a detailed review of monthly financial statements and general ledger, along with reviewing daily transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements for all managed properties.
- Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, security deposits.
- Identify conflicting and inadequate information; resolve issues before processing information, communicate with supervisor and/or other departments to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
- Protect operations by keeping financial and operational information and plans confidential.
- Accurately calculate and process monthly management fees.
- Responsible for accurate and timely filing of monthly sales tax reports for company and managed properties.
- Assist Controller and accountants as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Controller.

Certification(s) Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance preferred with 1 years’ experience in accounting profession or equivalent of Associates degree in accounting, business, or finance with 3 years’ experience in accounting profession.
