Job Overview
The Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the required quality standards before they reach the customer. This position involves conducting quality inspections, audits, utilizing precision measuring instruments, and adhering to IATF 16949:2016 & ISO 9001:2015 standards to maintain high-quality systems. The technician will work closely with production teams to ensure compliance with quality assurance and control protocols.
Duties
- Conduct regular quality inspections to assess compliance with customer standards and procedures.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines to perform inspections and measurements on products.
- Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with IATF & ISO standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enhance overall product quality.
- Document findings from inspections and audits, ensuring accurate records are maintained for compliance purposes.
- Assist in the development of quality control procedures and training materials.
Skills
- Proficiency in being thorough & following work instructions.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) would be a plus.
- Understanding of quality management principles, including data collection and analysis techniques would be a plus.
- Team building attitude.
- Basic skills with Microsoft office.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
