Overview
Mosher Excavating, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all management of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for our small yet well established excavation company. This role requires proficiency in Quickbooks desktop.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process weekly payroll, quarterly payroll liabilities and year end filing of W-2s and W-3.
- Provide information to accountant for filing of federal and state tax returns.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Monthly filing of Vermont Sales & Use Taxes
- Collaborate with office management to address any discrepancies or financial concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop
- Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
- Ability to work independently
