Job Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor

Job Summary: We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused Door-to-Door Sales Representatives to join our pest control team. Although am Independent Contractor sales representative, you will be the face of Mosquito Hunters-Pest Hunters, and will be responsible for generating new business by visiting residential properties in designated areas to offer our pest control services. You will educate potential customers on the benefits of our services, build relationships, and close sales, all while providing excellent customer service. This role includes meeting specific key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer engagement, sales goals, and cancellation rates to ensure overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prospect and Identify Leads: Canvass in designated areas to introduce the company’s pest control services, targeting potential customers in need of pest control solutions.

· Customer Education: Educate homeowners on the various pest control services offered, including prevention, treatment options, and the benefits of professional pest management.

· Sales and Closing: Actively sell pest control services by overcoming objections and persuading prospects to enroll for services. Close sales and complete the necessary documentation for annual contracts.

· Lead Generation and Reporting: Utilizing software with access provided by the company, track all interactions with potential leads, record information about prospects, and maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and sales.

· Meet Sales Targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Metrics for performance: Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and performance goals, which include:

o Hourly KPIs: Average number of potential customers spoken to per hour (e.g., 6-7 interactions)

o Daily KPIs: Minimum number of potential customers to speak to per day (e.g., 50-60 interactions).

o Weekly KPIs: Number of potential customers spoken to per week (e.g., 250-300 interactions).

· Manage Cancellations:

o Pre-Service Cancellations: Keep pre-service cancellation rates below a specific threshold (e.g., 5%) by effectively communicating the value of the service during the sales process.

o Post-Service Cancellations: Ensure post-service cancellations remain within an acceptable threshold (e.g., less than 10%) by providing exceptional customer interaction and not “over-selling/over-promising” and setting unreasonable, false expectations

· Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our pest control services, treatment methods, and pricing structures.

· Stay Informed: Through training provided by the Mosquito Hunters-Pest Hunters and independent training, keep up to date with pest control industry trends, customer needs, and service updates, in order to effectively communicate and sell the services offered.

· Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, uniform guidelines, and ethical standards.

· Collaboration: Work closely with the other sales representatives, technicians, management, and ownership, to achieve company objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles is NOT REQUIRED. (Training is provided)

· Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both in person and over the phone, with customers, prospects, and the team is a primary qualification for success.

· Goal-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals, with a strong drive to succeed and commitment to KPIs. Your pay is based on your drive!

· Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized while handling multiple prospects at once. Again, your pay is based off your commission, which is based off your drive to learn and do.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their pest control requirements/needs, in order to make sales.

· Resilience & Persistence: You will need to already be, or able to be, comfortable handling rejection and maintaining a positive attitude to succeed in a competitive sales environment. Many people will say “No”, but that is not the focus.

· Physical Stamina: Ability to walk long distances and be outdoors for extended periods in all types of weather.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent. Considerations will be made for those entering into their senior year of high school the upcoming year.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required to travel between neighborhoods). There may be opportunities to carpool with another sales representative.

· Must be comfortable with a performance-based pay structure (commission-based).

· Pest control knowledge or prior experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided).

Compensation:

· Competitive commission structure. (Earn anywhere from $12k-$30k in ~100 days) 🤩

· Hourly pay for the week of training and then guaranteed pay for the first 2 weeks as a pull against future commission.

· Potential for performance bonuses based on sales and achieving KPIs.
