Mosquito Squad is hiring a full time position for a lead pest control technician to join our quickly growing team! This role is a leadership position in our company with room to further grow and develop as the company grows.

We are a full service pest control business as well as a outdoor lighting business.

The Mosquito Squad Lead Tech is responsible for the successful day to day operations of the business and managing a team of Pest Control Applicators. The Lead Tech is committed to and responsible for delivering the highest level of customer service, ensuring customer retention and managing costs. The Lead Tech accomplishes this by actively training existing employees, interviewing and hiring new employees, maintaining technology tools, maintaining a fleet of 4 trucks, and tracking product inventory.

Responsibilities

Help train and manage a group of technicians (2-5).

Meet or exceed client retention goals through efficient management of team expectations and day to day business execution

Office Staff leadership and management to include customer service best practices, cohesive working relationships, leveraging technology tools and people skills to provide outstanding customer service, CRM management and upkeep

Maintain a fleet of vehicles ensuring regular scheduled maintenance, overall performance, and cleanliness.

Maintain all other equipment used to perform the job.

Ensure the team is following safe practices while measuring, mixing, and applying pesticides.

Keep track of all inventory and notify management when more supplies are needed.

Provide timely reporting as needed

Willing and able to work 10-12 hour days during peak summer months.

Run a route regularly. This includes carrying a 65 lb backpack blower, often through wooded or uneven terrain.

We also run a Christmas Lights business called New Age Lights where we offer both temporary and permanent holiday lights. Must be open to learning to install both of these systems.

Qualifications

Structural experience of at least one year is required!

This position will require you to be licensed with the State of Alabama in Ground (GRD) and Household Pest Control (HPC) within 30 days of hiring.

If you are already licensed in these categories, you will get a sign-on bonus of $500 paid in full upon completing one month of employment.

Outstanding and effective team leadership skills to include training and accountability of standards

Demonstrate passion for excellent customer service

Ability to create and execute a daily/weekly/monthly organizational structure to achieve goals

Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a positive attitude

Knowledge of and desire to learn and leverage technology

Become the subject matter expert on Mosquito Squad / New Age Lights offerings and process

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record

Compensation:

$20/ hour starting with an automatic raise to $22/ hour once licensed with the state.
