Job Summary:We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Wine Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, a knack for creating warm guest experiences, and an interest in games that enhance our lounge’s playful vibe. As a Wine Associate, you will guide guests through our wine offerings, serve beverages with care, and contribute to the lounge’s inviting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service by recommending wines, explaining flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve wine, coffee, other beverages and food items with attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- Engage guests with enthusiasm for wine and games, fostering a fun and interactive environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking, and wine list updates as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute events, tastings, or themed nights.
- Stay informed about wine trends, new varietals, and industry developments to enrich guest interactions.
- Work standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Frequently moving and lifting items up to 50lbs.
Qualifications:
- Passion for wine and a desire to share that enthusiasm with guests.
- Interest in games (board games, trivia, or social activities) to enhance the lounge’s community feel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse clientele.
- Ability to work in a multi-faceted environment, including evenings, weekends and potential holidays.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation is a plus but not required.
- Must be 18 years of age to apply.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification (Level 1, 2, or higher).
- Court of Master Sommeliers certification (Introductory or higher).
- ServeSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
