Our client, a Global Financial Services company is seeking a detail oriented Accounting Specialist.
Responsibilities :
The Accounting Specialist will join our client on their dynamic insurance agency team. This position is pivotal in managing daily accounting and financial functions, including the handling of operational funds. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure accurate financial data and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Daily Accounting Operations : Review, code, and enter insurance carrier commission revenue and premium payment adjustments to ensure accurate data flow into the general ledger.
- Financial Verification : Verify the completeness and consistency of transactions to meet regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Reconciliation : Research and reconcile commission revenue and premium payment adjustments to uphold financial accuracy and quality standards.
- Customer Service : Respond to inquiries from internal departments, external partners, insurance carriers, and general agents via email, mail, or phone to deliver exceptional service.
- Process Improvement : Maintain and update department procedures, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency. Participate in special projects as needed.
- Team Collaboration : Embody company values, working with integrity, building trusted relationships, and supporting team initiatives.
