Summer 2025 Communications Internship
The Motion Picture Association Communications team is looking for an intern to assist with a variety of communications and media relations tasks during the summer of 2025.
The Intern will assist the Communications team through a variety of tasks, including writing projects, news monitoring, updating press lists, media relations, conducting research projects, and supporting on events.
The Intern will work under the close supervision of MPA communications staff and will receive valuable educational training.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain press lists.
- Monitor daily news coverage and provide reports to the team.
- Assist in writing press releases, statements, and other communications materials.
- Assist with research and special projects.
- Staff in-person MPA events.
- Provide additional support to the communications team as needed.
Experience and Qualification:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must possess strong organizational, time management, and writing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Work Hours:
- This is a full-time opportunity. Interns must be able to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Part-time applicants may also be considered.
Internship Compensation:
- This is a paid internship ($20/hr for undergraduates and $25/hr for students in a graduate program). In addition, MPA can provide the summer intern college credit through their college or university if eligible.
Work Location:
- The summer internship will be hybrid – we’ll be in the office three days a week and virtual on all others. The summer intern will also staff and support in-person MPA events. The summer intern will be reporting to the MPA’s communications team based in Washington, D.C. Intern will be required to have internet access and will need to provide their own computer.
Salary : $20 - $25
