Senior MSP Field Project Engineer/Hybrid

A client in the Managed Service space is seeking a Senior MSP Field Project Engineer for one of our top-tier clients. This role requires an experienced professional who is passionate about driving IT projects, providing on-site technical support, and working closely with clients to ensure the seamless delivery of IT solutions.
As the Senior Field Project Engineer, you will be expected to lead and manage complex technical deployments and ensure a high level of service and client satisfaction. Any previous consulting/MSP experience is a plus. You will be working on high level projects across Servers, Data Center and Network technology. Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee the implementation and execution of technical projects from planning to completion, ensuring they meet client expectations and deadlines.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert for IT infrastructure, providing guidance to junior engineers and on-site staff.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate directly with clients to understand their technical needs and deliver appropriate solutions. Maintain strong, ongoing relationships to ensure continued client satisfaction and business growth.
• On-Site Deployment: Lead on-site project installations, system migrations, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting in a variety of environments.
• Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all project deliverables, including plans, schedules, and documentation, are up to date and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex system issues, including network, server, and workstation problems.
• Managed Service Operations: Help drive the optimization of managed services by identifying operational improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and enhancing service delivery for clients.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and client IT departments to ensure the smooth execution of all projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, project management, and client-facing roles in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
• Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewall configurations), servers (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Office 365).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network , Microsoft MCSE, or VMware VCP are highly preferred.
• Project Management: Proven experience managing and executing medium to large-scale IT projects from start to finish. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Client-Centric Approach: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate client needs and deliver solutions that align with their business goals.
• Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues in high-pressure environments.
