What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Data Science Engineer / LLMs position at Motion Recruitment?
We're currently working with a major company in the Network Operations industry that is looking for a high level Data Science Engineer to join their team. They offer their users tools to manage network traffic for high traffic systems and dashboards to assist with visualizing any network bottlenecks.
For this role, they're looking for a strong Data Science Engineer that is experienced with LLMs and how to effectively integrate them into RAG systems. Ideally, you'll also have expertise in handling unstructured data, data augmentation, and feature engineering for GenAI models for their network traffic dashboard.
This role will be fully onsite (5 days / week) in their Burlington, MA, office. The pay is very competitive and they're also offering stock options as well.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of experience working in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) with a focus on large language models (LLMs).
- Expertise in LLM architectures and frameworks such as GPT, BERT, T5, RoBERTa, or similar.
- Proven expertise working with unstructured data and data augmentation
- Proficiency in Python and popular machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Solid experience with model training and fine-tuning LLMs, including large-scale datasets and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Hands-on experience deploying AI models to production environments and managing model lifecycle in real-time systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and distributed computing to scale model training and deployment.
- Proven experience with model evaluation, debugging, performance optimization, and ensuring robustness of AI models.
