PAMC- Performance Analyst

Purpose: The Performance Analyst – PAMC’s objectives are to provide analysis and reporting for the Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex (PAMC) supporting variable energy, unplanned downtime / reliability tracking and the base oil business. Responsibilities: Focal point for analysis, interpretation and reporting of monthly variable energy performance Focal point for developing the variable energy monthly/quarterly LE Focal point for developing the variable energy section of the annual PAMC Business Plan Responsible for the preparation of the monthly Base Oil results, including allocation of the Base Oils segment P&L from the Port Arthur Refinery (PAR) results Preparation and support of the Base Oil annual business plan, including carve-out of the Base Oils segment from the Port Arthur Refinery (PAR) plan Works with Economics & Scheduling to support the tracking and recording of Unplanned Downtime (UPDT) for Loss Profit Opportunity (LPO) analysis Support the hydrocarbon accounting and performance team with other ad-hoc items as needed Support greater Finance team and community via active participation in Finance initiatives Actively assesses systems, procedures, policies and practices to ensure continual work process improvements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration 5-7 years work experience in financial analysis, business planning or hydrocarbon management Ability to manage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders Ability to understand financial data and interpret business results Strong analytical skills, or demonstrated curiosity Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong communication skills Attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Refinery, chemical complexes and/or supply trading distribution Knowledge of financial systems, including SAP, and the Microsoft suite of programs a plus 1-3 years work experience at a refinery, chemical complex and/or in supply trading distribution a plus New hires must have received their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before starting employment.
