Position Overview :
The Motiva Compensation Analyst is a member of the Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits and Medical Team, reporting directly to the Director - Total Rewards & Medical. The role of the Compensation Analyst requires an individual that is detail orientated and has strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and project management skills related to the compensation discipline. This individual will support the Compensation Advisor in the effective, design, delivery and maintenance of Motiva's compensation programs as well as collaborate across the Human Resources function and leadership population.
Responsibilities :
Compensation Program Administration
- Contribute to the administration of the annual Compensation Cycle, including annual merit, short- and long-term incentives programs, acting as a resource for the Compensation Advisor and HR Business Partners.
- Collaborate with HR Information Systems Team on system requirements for administering compensation programs.
- Analyze, design, and administer employee compensation programs, including base pay, short- and long-term incentives, market adjustments, and other forms of variable pay.
- Assist with the ongoing administration of the LTIP / Equity program.
- Contribute to annual Performance Review / Rating Calibration process, supporting the rating collection process and working closely with HR Business Partners and HR Information Systems Team.
- Assist the Compensation Advisor to develop, implement and deliver training related to new hire compensation orientation as well as ongoing compensation administration programs for management and HR Business Partners.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of compensation policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to HR Business Partners and managers on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, salary structures, incentive plans, and pay equity.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Compensation Advisor and / or Director, Total Rewards.
- Leverage prior experience to identify opportunities for process and / or program enhancements.
