Motivate is looking for an energized, experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee our workforce and manage all aspects of service delivery operations.
About the Role
As Senior Operations Manager, you will directly support the Regional General Manager in overseeing all aspects of motorized and non-motorized operations to maintain required levels of rideability and availability systemwide. You will demonstrate success in engaging work teams and developing leaders within your operation, as well as manage the day-to-day operations to ensure the success of the department. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a proven track record of analyzing complex data and implementing solutions based on the data to impact business results.
Oversee a team of employees and people leaders ensuring that they are engaged and aligned to meet customer needs and maximize customer service
Ensure that all stations are balanced, assets are recovered, coverage for special events and client facing customer service needs are available
Oversee scheduling of employees, including master planning and daily updates; full employee life cycle management and demonstrated people leadership
Review and implement processes and improvement initiatives to further increase efficiency in obtaining targets and team management strategies
Identify and improve the team’s performance and inspection metrics, analyzing data for business improvements, creating reports, and presenting outcomes and findings
Implement safety initiatives within the department to maintain a safe work environment, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met or exceeded
About You
You are an experienced people leader who models desired behaviors through own example and understands how to best motivate and encourage a team, while completing all managerial and supervisory activities
You are an operations expert, with demonstrated experience successfully overseeing large warehouse and fleet-based operations and a background in operations management, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related field
You are a self-starter, with the ability to multi-task, follow-through, think critically, and apply analytical problem solving with a high degree of judgment
You are a team player who is able to work cross-functionally across departments
You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of audiences
You are proficient in MS Office, Tableau, and other data visualization, planning & communications software applications
You have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record; know the geography and layout of the Washington DC area; preference may be given if living in Washington DC
