About the Role:
The Principal Product Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing in our Lehi, UT office, and will be responsible for managing our entire portfolio, which includes our social recognition and rewards platform and product add-ons called Spaces, Surveys, Service Shoutouts, and Rewards by Motivosity (a custom Swag service offering). In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in our GTM Strategy and helping Motivosity increase market share in the Employee Recognition space. We’re looking for a dynamic individual who is a self-starter and loves both structure and creativity. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, customer obsessed, data-driven, research backed, and process-oriented while also possessing strong written and verbal communication skills that lend themselves well to creating dynamite content quickly, speaking on webinars, training and informing Sales and CS, and yes…whipping up lots of slide decks. And more importantly, you’ll have a proven track record of being a great partner to the product team, sales leadership, and customer success.
What You’ll Do:
- You’ll lead our product marketing strategy, starting with crafting and documenting product positioning and messaging that’s artfully informed by customer and market research. Because you take a customer-first approach, you’ll be the audience, market, and product expert who helps our Marketing team create content and run campaigns that resonate and deliver results
- Organize, project manage, and launch new products and features based on a tiering system. You’ll be the person who keeps product, engineering, sales, customer success, and marketing on the same page about release/launch dates and activities and who coordinates with each internal team to ensure proper training and enablement
- Ensure internal product readiness by managing our What’s New in Motivosity employee Space
- Drive awareness of new products and functionality to our customer base via in-product marketing, email, the CSM team, and the What’s New in Motivosity blog
- Lead out on building our Enterprise GTM strategy, including market research/competitive intelligence, buyer personas, key messaging content, sales enablement materials, and website messaging
- Run cross-functional projects and initiatives like launch campaigns, win/loss analysis, vertical GTM strategy and execution, competitive intelligence, and more
- Partner with our Creative Director and Content Marketing Manager on important industry trends and topics and to create video content, product demos, case studies, one-pagers, and more
Experience and Skills Needed:
- 8 years of product or solutions marketing experience in B2B SaaS (bonus points if you have experience in the HR tech space)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a bonus
- Executive presence and excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable experience managing product launches with measurable results and business impact
- Amazing writing/content chops
- Team player and collaborative attitude
- Bias to action and a builder mentality
