Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5-7 years management experience
- 5 years marine or automotive industry paint and body / fiberglass experience.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hire and train shop staff.
- Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of shop employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare maintenance schedules for service orders.
- Maintain database of maintenance and repair records.
- Oversee shop inventory; order parts, shop supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure applicable safety standards and regulations are followed in the facility.
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding their repairs.
- Customer Complaints / Customer Satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Extensive experience working with fiberglass preferred.
- Vocational or technical school training preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to physically perform repairs.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
