Job description
Motus is looking for their next all-star team member! We are a busy and actively growing chiropractic and injury rehab clinic. We are seeking an outgoing people person who is detail oriented, has excellent organization and time management skills to ensure our front desk operates smoothly.
As a receptionist, you will be the first and last impression with patients that visit our office. You will be in a busy office environment answering phones, managing patient flow, scheduling, and collecting payments. You will coordinate and manage communications with insurance companies, healthcare offices, and law offices.
To be successful as a receptionist, you should have a pleasant and outgoing personality. Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and thrive in an environment interacting with people all day. You will need to be able to adapt and pivot with interruptions in tasks in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations.
Ultimately, a receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients in a warm positive manner, and executes all administrative tasks in an organized, efficient and effective manner, while being detail oriented and maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer phones & reply to emails
- Schedule patient appointments and collect payments
- Manage patient flow and communicate with doctors and therapists
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Prepare and distribute patient paperwork as needed
- Verify insurance benefits
- Prepare referrals to other healthcare offices
- Prepare medical records for law or other healthcare offices
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
- Understanding and adherence of patient privacy per HIPPA privacy laws
- Light cleaning
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role, Medical Receptionist experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Outgoing and enjoy interacting with people
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
