Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Overview:
Academic Enrichment Independent Support staff are adult team members who play a vital role in supporting the after-school experience. AEIS staff work under the direction of lead teachers and program coordinators, offering hands-on assistance while developing the foundational skills of future program leaders.
Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent support within ELP classrooms and enrichment settings
* Actively engage with students in academic, recreational, and creative activities
* Assist with snack preparation and clean-up
* Participate in movement and outdoor play activities with students
* Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
* Model professionalism, kindness, and respectful communication
* Work both independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of students
Licensing Considerations: AEIS staff may be alone with students and are considered qualified per CDD regulations
Leadership Pathway: AEIS staff are not required to develop curriculum or lead independent activities. However, they are encouraged to begin experimenting with lesson ideas and leadership opportunities in order to build toward a future Academic Enrichment Program Support (AEPS) role
