What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST position at Mount Airy Casino Resort?
Position Overview:
The recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting functions. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control standards and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develops sources of qualified applicants by developing contacts with community organizations, third party providers, colleges, schools, vocational and training institutions.
- Conducts off site recruiting initiatives and outreach efforts to develop minority recruitment resources.
- Attends job fairs and hosts in-house career fairs.
- Manages the requisition approval process.
- Assist and act as back up for new hire processing.
- Responsible for planning all employee events and recognition initiatives.
- Participates, tracks and assists HR Manager in the implementation of companywide training programs.
- Assists EDHR with the process and tracking of the employee annual reviews.
- In consultation with the EDHR and HR Manager, plans and develops employee incentive programs.
- Places job advertisements in appropriate and approved media sources.
- Coordinates and or creates recruitment materials as needed.
- Manages interview process in field with monthly tracking of interviews and decisions to hire/decline.
- Prepares and delivers training, as it pertains to recruiting functions. (Interview techniques, applicant tracking, etc.)
- Conducts screening/phone interviews and processes prior to passing final candidates along to hiring managers, as needed.
- Makes job offers, prepares offer letters and communicates applicant acceptance to hiring managers and human resources staff members.
- Facilitate NH Orientation.
- Prepares monthly diversity recruitment and other employment related reports.
- Utilizes HRIS systems to ensure efficient administration and report writing.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal employment related laws, statutes, and regulations.
- Maintains current knowledge of labor laws.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the EDHR and/or HR Manager.
- Assists/administers licensing process for new hires, transfers, promotions and renewals.
- Creates applicant accounts, issues username and passwords, certifies applications and submits completed electronic applications via Slots Link.
- Submits required new hire, termination, withdraw and other forms and documents to PGCB licensing as required.
- Responsible for assisting in the process of all Gaming, Non-Gaming, G2 and Key Licenses.
- Keeps open communication with the PGCB.
- Researches status of licenses and solves any problems that may arise.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum two years applicable experience, preferably in the gaming or hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational and leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and dedicated commitment to excellence.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the employees throughout all levels of the Mount Airy Resort Casino.
- Computer literate in appropriate software.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
