Position Overview:
The Sales Coordinator will coordinate and provide administrative support for all external and internal special events. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control standards and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages general office duties and provides friendly and courteous service to fellow employees and guests.
- Creates and maintains all event files and distributes them to the appropriate Sales Member within 24 hours.
- Answers telephones in a timely fashion, provides knowledgeable answers to any inquiries, or transfers calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Will work closely with Marketing on updated Sales Promotions, Social Media, and prepare Sales Kits for the team.
- Greets guests who visit the Sales Office as well as show the facility to potential customers when Sales Specialist is not available.
- Provides administrative support to Convention Services and the Sales Team.
- Will keep the Sales operating system up to date; i.e. keep track of actuals, update menus, and pull reports for any meetings.
- Will be responsible for relaying information regarding VIPs, amenities, sales comps, etc.
- Makes room reservations for event guests, as needed and works closely with Guest Services.
- Responsible for guest correspondence and other general correspondence.
- Assists with all external and internal special events including promotions, trade shows, chamber functions, travel shows, tourism development, employee relations, etc.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must project a professional image and have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Two years administrative experience required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a non-gaming license as required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
- Must be available to work weekends upon request.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office computer software, with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to perceive quality of work, read materials, review documents and receive instructions.

- Must be able to handle exposure to areas where smoking is permitted.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must have oral and aural acuity and ability to respond to cues.
